The Return
Experience

A 2.5-hour homecoming night built around Erica Mason’s album The Return: live music, honest conversation, curated food, and a room of strangers who leave as family.

It runs in any venue with 75–300 seats because the experience lives in the people, the flow, and the five senses, and the venue’s technology is a bonus.

The pivot

The tour was originally designed around digital-projection venues. That format is now optional. From here, every city gets the same core night, and the room is dressed with design, light, scent, sound, and local culture that travel in a road case.

The promise

“You walk in as yourself. You get seen, you get fed, you hear the story behind the songs, and you leave with a key that brings you back.”

“‘The Return’ is my homecoming story—an honest, soul-filled journey through healing, faith, and becoming.”

In Erica’s words

Success looks like: 80% of ticket buyers joining the community, and the Atlanta finale feeling like the whole tour came home.

01

The Four Pillars

Every Return night delivers all four. If a venue can’t support one of them, it isn’t a Return venue.

01

Intimate

The room feels like someone’s home, and every guest feels personally hosted.

Capped capacity (200–300). Designed space: low warm light, candles, and a black, rust, and cream palette. A curated tasting menu with dishes renamed by Erica. Guests greeted by name at the door.

02

Out of the Box

Moments guests have never had at a show.

A silent-headphone segment—a whole room hearing one song privately together. Contrasting moments: silence after a loud peak, stillness after dancing. One local guest per city. Unexpected venues: restaurants, jazz cafés, galleries, and lofts.

03

Connection

Erica meets people where they are in life.

Meet and greets built into the night. A curated surprise or high-value gift for a few guests each show. Wellness activations tailored to the specific city. Table prompts that get strangers talking. A clear invitation into the community before anyone leaves.

04

Vulnerable / Authentic

Real story, real music, real conversation.

Live performances of songs from The Return. Erica telling the stories behind them. An open conversation and Q&A segment with a local voice—a therapist, healer, or community leader.

02

The Five Senses

The senses replace the projection technology. Each one has a fixed tour element that travels with the team, plus a local layer from the host city.

SenseTour constant (travels in the road case)Local layer (changes by city)
SightCandles, warm amber uplighting, black drape, rust accents, one hero photo wall with The Return album art, printed lyric cards on tables, and sticky-note affirmation walls.Work from a local Black or BIPOC visual artist displayed in the room, or live painting during the show.
SmellOne signature Return scent—candle or room mist—used at every show, so the smell itself becomes the memory. Also sold as merchandise.A second note from the city’s food—smoke, spice, coffee, or sweets—coming off the menu.
TouchThe key necklace or NFC ring placed in each guest’s hand at the door. A textured welcome card and headphones for the silent segment.A small, locally made object on each table, sourced from a Black-owned maker.
TasteA named signature drink, “The Return,” and a tasting menu with dishes named by Erica.—
HearA live set of The Return, the silent-headphone moment, and a guided meditation track from the album.A local DJ for arrival and close, and one guest musician or sound rooted in the city.

03

The Key

Every guest receives a key necklace or NFC tap ring that unlocks the meditation album, a companion to The Return. The key is the tour’s symbol: you came home, and now you carry the way back.

How it works
A QR code or NFC tag on the key’s card—or engraved on the key—opens the meditation album with e inside the community app, which requires a free signup. That signup is the 80% conversion engine.
When it’s given
At the door, placed in the guest’s hand, then called back during the closing ritual when Erica invites everyone to put it on together.
Tiers
GA receives the standard key. VIP receives a premium finish plus a sponsored local item in a goodie bag.
After the show
A follow-up email and SMS series continues the meditation album track by track, then invites guests into membership.
Merch tie-in
The key sells on its own after the tour as the entry product for people who couldn’t be in the room.

04

Run of Show

The night moves in three movements that mirror the album: Arrive (you’re welcomed), Remember (you hear the story), and Return (you leave carrying something). Times assume 7:00 PM doors; shift the whole block for venue curfews.

  1. VIP pre-show with Erica Mason + guests

Intimate Q&A with Erica Mason and a local wellness practitioner, or a wellness activation. Fans meet and greet and take photos with Erica, receive a premium key, and enjoy the first pour of the signature drink. Erica and a local guest—a therapist, healer, or community leader—lead an open talk and audience Q&A around a city-specific theme.

The City Layer

Each city adds five local touches to the fixed night: a cultural thread that frames the conversation, a taste built on the city’s Black food tradition, a sound for the DJ and local spotlight, a visual from local artists, and one local guest. Everything local is sourced from Black- and BIPOC-owned businesses and creators, and those partners are named from the stage.

Venue Requirements

One tour, one identity. A restaurant, jazz café, gallery, or loft all host the same Return night.

Seated or table layout, 200–300 capacityStage size and shape—a riser or a corner works
Ability to dim house lights and allow candles or LED candlesFull concert lighting rig

“We bring the production in a road case; you bring the room and the kitchen.”

07

Economics

The portable format makes The Return a repeatable cash-cow event: lower production cost, more venue options, and a sponsor story in every city.

TierPrice (standard)Includes
General Admission$74.99Seat, key necklace, meditation album unlock, full show, food available
VIP$129.99Everything in GA plus pre-show meet and greet and photo, premium key, signature drink, and physical album

01

Cash-cow event

The core night, repeatable in 200–300-capacity rooms across 2027.

02

Sponsors

Each sense is a sponsorable moment: the scent, the signature drink, the headphone segment, and the key. Per brand rules, pitches route through the Self Wellness Foundation, pending its 501(c)(3) reinstatement.

03

Festival

The ticket-sales proof from this run becomes the pitch for a Return stage or wellness tent at festivals.

08

Open Decisions & Assumptions

  • 01Name: keep “The Return Immersive Experience” or retire “immersive.” The whiteboard leans toward dropping it. “The Return: Intimate” could become the name for every show.
  • 02DC / NYC / Houston: new venues are needed now that the projection-venue run is off the table; the November 10–12 dates may shift.
  • 03The key: confirm the necklace supplier, unit cost, QR versus NFC unlock, and meditation album delivery date.
  • 04Signature scent: choose one scent and a maker, ideally Black-owned, so it can double as merchandise.
  • 05Charlotte: confirm the venue and date; records show both Event Masterz on January 19 and an open January 22 slot.
  • 06Detroit: confirm Aretha’s Jazz Café.
  • 07Local guests: confirm who sources the conversation guest and local artist in each city, and the budget per city.
  • 08Show-day roles: confirm Marcus’s lane—music direction versus logistics—and who owns the door and QR signups.

Assumptions to confirm: 2.5-hour show with 7:00 PM doors; 75–300 seat capacity; food service available at every venue; standard GA/VIP pricing applies to all cities.
